Nils Corte

Short Bio
Nils Corte, born in 1975, lives and works in Berlin, Dortmund and
Nürnberg. He is a programmer, playwright, musician and producer. His
artistic focus is on the development, visualisation and utilisation of
extended reality in performance contexts. Most recently he wrote "Murder
on the Holodeck" and "Symmetry". Since 2015 he has been the organiser of the music and culture festival "Klingt Gut".
He is the developer of the award-winning visualisation software "Pepper's Holosuite", which enables actors and actresses to interact with holographically projected virtual objects on stage and make them simultaneously tangible for the audience.
He also programs on and for the social VR platform Mozilla Hubs and Neos
VR. He is an alumnus of the Academy for Theatre and Digitality, works as
a Digital Arts Officer at Theater Dortmund and is part of the collective
minus.eins. From the 2023/24 season, he will take over as Head of
Creative Technologies of the "Extended Reality Theatre - XRT" in the
Schauspiel at the Staatstheater Nürnberg.
